It’sbeen nearly a year since my very first trip to Europe. Latvia (Latvija) hasbecome one of my favourite Eastern European country with it’s beautiful and historicalstructures and buildings. One of the important structures built is the FreedomMonument of Riga, Latvia.Consideredan important symbol of freedom, independence and sovereignty of Latvia, theFreedom Monument of Riga, Latvia is a monument honouring the soldiers killedduring the Latvian Independence War (1918-1920).
Locatedat the center of old town of Riga on Brīvības bulv�ris (Freedom Boulevard), the42 meters high monument was arranged in thirteen (plus one) groups depictingLatvian culture and history.
